Taking Leave

Remove all traces of self
stuff, art, leaves, stones, clothes, dirt.

Remove self
voice, footsteps, hellos, waves, smiles, bumps
hands, feet, tears.

Transport stuff and self
to new dimension, new locality, new reality,
new superficiality.

Unpack stuff. Sort. Display.

Unfold self. Reinvent self. Rebuild self.
Risk self.
Again. And again. And again.

Crazy body, huh? Just been reading about John Locke on personal identity. How odd - we transport ourselves here and there, yet supposedly remain the same person. Risking the self... yes, we have to, don't we? Every day, probably. And especially so at times of change and removal. Thinking of you, Laura. Take care
